School Committee Meeting

There is a school committee meeting to discuss the preliminary budget on Wednesday, March 3rd, at 4:30 pm.

Kiss and Ride

We are experiencing problems with our afternoon pick-up procedure. Things would run very smoothly if people continued in a straight line down through the parking lot, around the circle and out. Pulling ahead of someone or backing up the driveway is dangerous. Thank you for your help in this matter.

Math Help Club

Due to a staff meeting on Thursday, February 25, there will not be Math Help Club. This is only for this date. Thank you.

Food Fun Fair

Food Fun Fair is coming up on Tuesday, February 23rd from 6-7:30 pm for grades K-4. It will feature games, fun activities, free food samples, a recipe contest, and a guest chef. More information can be found on the nutrition website at: http://web.me.com/kelly03/Richmond_Nutrition/Home.html

Activity Night

Friday, February 26th from 3:00 – 8:00 pm is Activity Night! Kids can stay after school for a fun filled evening of outdoor games, indoor games, dinner and a movie. Permission slips went home. If you need one, please call the office.

Third Grade Fundraiser

Save the date: Sunday, February 28th from 1:00-3:00, family fun at the Pittsfield Family YMCA!  There will be swimming, gym time, and snacks. Cost is $5.00 per child, cap of $20.00 per family. This is not a drop off event, therefore adults are free.  Details to follow after vacation…

Parents! Did You Forget to Order a Yearbook?

We need to sell 27 more yearbooks to break even. The yearbook is for every class, but it is especially nice for 8th graders as a final memory.

7th grade parents! We need to sell the minimum quantity to continue this tradition. We need your support! If you wanted a yearbook, but forgot to order, please send in a check for $20 to “Richmond School – Yearbook Account”. Thank you, Ellen Campbell.

Go Green Night

Our next Go Green Night will be Friday, March 26 at 6:30 pm. Some of the night’s festivities will include: a performance by Grades K-2; a guest speaker to discuss the topic of organic lawns; information on the new community garden; and, various hands-on activities for kids. We’d like to raise some startup money for the community garden by raffling off items or services. If you have a service or item you’d like to raffle (babysitting, flower arranging, gardening expert, Aunt Maudy’s vase) – let us know. Also, would you send in empty egg cartons to be used for seed planting?
