Note from the Kitchen

Bills went out this week.  They were sent home with your students, unless you had a balance more than $40.00.  Those were sent first class mail.  The Kitchen operates with the income generated by lunch and snack sales.  We are not part of the school budget.  For example, if you owe $100.00, that is one week of produce.  Please pay your balance in its entirety by June 16th.  Thank you!

Library News

Please remind your students to return all Library Books.

School Committee

At Tuesday’s School Committee Meeting, there was a restructuring of the Committee.  Christine Triantos will be Chairman, Lauren Broussal-Vice Chair and Dewey Wyatt as Secretary.  We’d like to thank Dr. Broussal for her eleven years as School Committee Chair and all her hard work.  We are glad she will be remaining with us for at least one more year.

PTO

At the PTO meeting this week, it was decided to have an organizational meeting for the fall Craft Fair (to be renamed) on Monday, June 14th at 5:00 pm at the school.  Babysitting will be offered at $2 per child.  Please come and share your ideas, volunteer to chair a sub-committee or give a few hours to one of our main fundraisers for the year.  Thank you in advance for your time and energy.

Thank You PTO

Sophie Randolph, Alandra Lopez and McKenna Powell are collecting used soccer equipment.  This equipment will be brought to Haiti June 23rd by John Evans.  John Evans is a local coach who, for the past several summers, has gone to Haiti to work building soccer programs for the children in the Jacquet, Solino and Laplenn communities.  He runs camps, trains coaches, and brings down equipment.  Any shoes, shorts, socks, shin guards, or soccer balls would be welcome contributions to this effort.  Collection boxes are located at Richmond Consolidated School and Monument Mountain High School. If you have any questions, please e-mail Sophie at srsoccer20@yahoo.com.  Thank you.
