School Committee Mtg, 7:30 pm
From the Principal’s Office
Greetings to all in the Richmond Consolidated School family of staff, students, parents and guardians. I am very excited about taking on the principal-ship this year. While the first few days have been hot and humid, it was a real joy to see life come back into the school. Student behavior on the bus is terrific with older students helping those in Pre-K and K get on and off safely. Clearly students were happy to unite with classmates and greet teachers past and present. Everyone settled in to review safety procedures and school expectations. The Fire Chief commended us on our first fire drill with an evacuation that took 55 seconds. Tammy has started the year with home cooked lunches and freshly baked items at recess. The excitement around teaching and engaging students in learning has begun.
I hope you take a few minutes over the Labor Day weekend to ask about your child about his or her perception of the first days. Maybe you can share of few of those with me at the family BBQ taking place at school on Tuesday, September 7th starting at 5:30. Also, please remember that Tuesday is picture day and all students will have a class and individual photograph taken.

Richmond Garden Club
Thank you to all the members of the Richmond Garden Club who worked so hard over the summer to spruce up the garden in front of the school. It looks terrific!
Family Star?
We are looking for news about your child but sometimes the “star” is shy and doesn’t tell us his or her news. Please feel free to e-mail Darlene dmccauley@richmondconsolidated.org and let us know of any accomplishments you would like acknowledgement in our weekly newsletter. It can involve team efforts (please note the team name and all Richmond students involved) or individual accomplishments. We’d love to hear about swim meets, music recitals, karate, sports scores, etc. If your child’s name or picture is in the newspaper, please send in a copy and we will post it in the cafeteria.
Wanted: CD Players
We are looking for gently used individual players that play CD’s. Headphones are also needed.
