Mt. Greylock Hike – October 11, 2012

The 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades braved the snow flurries and wind to enjoy a chilly, 2-mile hike up Mt. Greylock on Thursday. Once at the top, our park ranger guide, Steve, explained the geology of the mountain and students discovered first-hand how the forest changes with the arrival of fall. After a quick lunch in the warmth of Bascom Lodge, students climbed up the tower to look out at the surrounding countryside. Some third graders even reported seeing Richmond School in the distance!
