Elizabeth Smith

This is Mrs. Smith’s seventh year teaching third grade. Prior to that time, she could be found “upstairs” teaching fifth grade social studies, reading and writing.

After graduating with a B.A. in English from Gettysburg College, Gettysburg, PA, Mrs. Smith spent many years as a publicist and writer. A second-career teacher, she is currently working on her M.A. in Reading. She also has participated in a week-long Responsive Classroom Institute in Greenfield, MA, and is a member of the International Reading Association, the National Council of Teachers of English, and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.

Mrs. Smith moved to the Berkshires from Boston 16 years ago. She and her husband reside in Pittsfield with their son and daughter.
