Carolyn Jeffrey

Carolyn Nejaime Jeffrey was born in Torrington, CT.   She did her undergraduate work at Russell Sage College and her graduate work at the University of Chicago.   She has taught Spanish and French for 22 years with some of those years overlapping with owning/working in her travel agency for 21 years and one year teaching English in a French lycee in Beirut, Lebanon.   She has traveled all over the globe, but still has a few places on her list.

Mrs. Jeffrey is now in her  seventh year at Richmond and can honestly say that she enjoys all her classes K, 1, 2, 6, 7, and 8th more each year.  Last summer she and her family (17 of them) traveled to Lebanon; this was her first return in 35 years. The changes were saddening and, at time, exhilarating.   She was really pleased that her Arabic all came back.

She is working on ESL proficiency.   Last spring Mrs. Jeffrey passed the Mass. State Test for ESL certification!    She already has a year of teahing all levels of English as a language in Lebanon so she is ready for our ESL students.
