Parent involvement is critical for a successful school, so volunteer as a PTO officer or a committee chair for the 2013-2014 school year. There are jobs that take no more than a couple hours a month, some are that are seasonal, and a few that require a routine commitment. Nomination forms went home with students today.
Please return nomination forms to the school office by Monday, April 1st.
Nominations will be announced at the PTO meeting on Tuesday, April 9th at 5:30pm.
Elections will be held at the PTO meeting on Tuesday, May 14th at 5:30.
Yankee Candle Fundraiser
The Yankee Candle Fundraiser packets went out this week (we tried to send just one packet per family). There are extra packets and order forms available in the office. Please return all order forms to the office by Thursday, April 4th.
Dining to Donate
Take a break from cooking and support our school! RCS is working with local restaurants to provide events to support our school. At these fundraisers local restaurants generously offer a % back on purchases made at their establishments to our school.
Jae’s Asian Bistro, Monday April 8, 2013
Baba Louie’s Restaurant, Monday April 29, 2013
Please support these local businesses and help us generate funds for the PTO…just mention to our server (or takeout) that you are dining to support Richmond School. Be on the lookout for other restaurants throughout the rest of the year.
Mabel’s Labels

Getting ready for Summer Camp or already thinking ahead for the next School Year?
As a way of targeting the problem of lost belongings and a large lost and found bin, RCS is fundraising with Mabel’s Labels, a company with all types of labels that are colorful, indestructible, easy-to-use and fun! Several parents at our school have been using Mabel’s Labels for years and it’s a great product! It makes labeling clothing, backpacks, lunch bags, water bottles, baby items, or whatever you want to keep track of SO EASY!
